This watch isn't just good looking - it's properly well made, especially considering how light it is. Half the time I forget I'm even wearing the thing, and for what you get it's a proper bargain. Loads of modes to choose from, and it's got all the functions you could need.

Dead chuffed they included the option to switch between 24-hour and 12-hour clock - being in the UK I much prefer the 24-hour display myself. Even though it's quite compact, that's not a bad thing at all. It's so light and small you could easily wear it for days without any bother.

I don't personally use the alarm function, but it seems decent enough. You can toggle through all the settings easily, though I prefer keeping the alarm switched off completely - never been keen on alarms on watches myself, and it saves any awkward moments in public.

No idea about the proper water resistance rating, but it's held up perfectly to whatever splashes and rain it's caught through normal wear.

Blimey, I haven't had a digital watch since the nineties, but this one's a proper little gem. Does exactly what you'd expect from a basic digital watch - keeps time brilliantly with a clear display that doesn't catch reflections.

The strap's surprisingly comfy and light, fits all wrist sizes with plenty of adjustment. Does give a slight creak now and then when it's quiet, but a quick wiggle sorts it right out. My twelve-year-old daughter liked mine so much she wanted one herself - ended up getting her the pink transparent version elsewhere for less money, and it fits her small wrist perfectly (though her strap does feel a bit more plasticky).

Survived plenty of splashes from washing up without any issues. Worn daily including for work and not a single scratch so far.

Has all the essentials: time, date, light, alarm, stopwatch and hourly chime. The alarm's dead easy to set and beeps every second for 20 seconds if you don't cancel it. The hourly chime's a nice touch (can be turned off if you prefer). Recently discovered the stopwatch actually has a lap function too - just press the light button during timing.

Only downsides - the light's pretty useless (just a dim green glow on the left side, typical of old-school digitals) and there's no countdown timer. Use the alarm as a makeshift timer instead as it's quick to set.

All in all, proper chuffed with this bit of nostalgia - does exactly what it says on the tin without breaking the bank!

The perfect watch for wise people. Anything more is pure vanity.
